Judging Criteria

All entries will be judged on the entrants last 5 years of volunteer work and will be judged on a 250 point scale; Volunteer Story - 20%, Volunteer Expression- 20%, Volunteer Service Resume- 20%, Volunteer Service Portfolio - 40%. So the highest amount of points you can get for your Volunteer Story would be 50 points, for your Volunteer Expression 50 points, Volunteer Service Resume 50 points and for your Volunteer Portfolio, 100 points. Scores will only be given via e-mail and only if requested prior to the announcement of the winners.

Winners and a first and second runner up in each age category are selected by a panel of 3-5 experienced judges who are also volunteers themselves. Special Service Award winners are slected by a seperate panel of judges.

The Ms. American Volunteer pageant directors/ The Ms. American Volunteer Pageant Team have absolutely NO vote as to who is selected as national title holders. The selection of winners is entirely the decision of the judges.

Volunteer Expression, Volunteer Portfolio, Volunteer Service Resume and your Volunteer Story are judged on presentation and quality of content, as well as the quality and quantity of volunteer work you do, content, ability to follow portfolio guideline and creativeness and neatness.

There is no comparison judging.

All judges' decisions are final!
