The Ms. American Volunteer Pageant, is in it's 2nd year and is a relatively
new on-line pageant. The pageant was created to recognize excellence in volunteer service, promote the importance of volunteering
and is a pageant that works for a cause, as all of the proceeds form the pageant will go tocharity, to benefit a different
cause, charity or non-profit organization. A portion of the proceeds benefitted The 11-10-02 Foundation in 2004 and 100% of the proceeds from the 2005 American Volunteer pageant will benefit the 11-10-02 Foundation
this year.
The 11-10-02
Foundation(BrunchBunch.com) is a nationally acclaimed foundation whose purpose is to break down racial,
cultural and social barriers while also funding grants and college scholarships for overlooked students and the schools which
they attend.
The goal of the Ms. American
Volunteer Pageant is to show the beauty of volunteering and to continue the goal
of raise $1,000 or more for the 11-10-02 Foundation.
The pageant is a pageant
for all female volunteers, both pageant participants and non-pageant participants alike. No pageant experience
is necessary! All that's required is you be female and a volunteer. Women and teens from throughout the U.S. apply to represent
their state or region and compete for a national title, other prizes and the chance to speak on the volunteer service platform of her choice, as a Ms. American Volunteer national title holder.
Contestants are not judged on appearance or physical
beauty but rather are judged solely on the work that they do to serve others and to make their communities a better place.
All compete in four areas; volunteer story, volunteer expression, volunteer resume and volunteer service
photos. Contestants also have the chance to win (side) special service awards in addition to competing for a national title. Deadline to submit all entries is January 1, 2006. Winners will be announced
on January 15, 2006.
