Entrant's Information

Participants in the Ms. American Volunteer Pageant must reach the minimum age requirement at the time of application to enter into the lower age category.

All participants must be naturally born females.

Entrant must be a resident of the United States and must be a resident or the state or region wthey wish to represent.

Contestants under 18 years of age must have a parent's signature on the application form to enter the pageant. Applications from teens under the age of 18 will be disregarded with out a parent's signature.

Previous national winners are eligible to participate to compete for another national American Volunteer title but are not eligible to compete again for the same American Volunteer national title previously won. For example: if you won the Ms. American Volunteer title you may not compete for that title again but you may compete for the Ms. American Volunteer Woman title at a later time, assuming she meet the age requirement.

Previous national winners must wait a period of at least two years from the time their Ms. American Volunteer reign is over before they can compete in the Ms. American Volunteer pageant for a different Ms. American Volunteer title than the one they previously held.

Past contestants are eligible to compete again the next year. All returning contestants will receive a $5 discount off the entry fee if she was not a runner up. 1st runner ups recieve 50% off their entry fee to the pageant the next year and 2nd runner ups recieve 25% off their entry fee the next year should the choose to return.

Delegates will NOT be added to the website until her application, photo, 1/2 her entry fee and state or regional title choice are received. Titles will not be reserved unless under any circumstances for anyone who has not met the above requirements.

There must be a minimum of 5 contestants in each age category for a winner to be crowned in that age category. If there are less than 5 in a category, the contestants from that category will be moved to the next age category. In the event that there are less than 5 contestants in each category, all contestants from each age category will compete for one title, the Ms. American Volunteer title.

Entrants must uphold good moral character.

Optional State/Regional Crowns and Sash can be ordered. Contestants who wish to purchase the optional crown must include the cost in addition to the entry and application fees. Portfolios will not be returned unless requested and must be requested prior to the announcement of the winners.

Shipping cost to return volunteer portfolios is NOT included in the entry fee. Send an additional $5 for return shipping of volunteer service portfolio and other competition materials.

All entry applications and all fees are due October are due September 15, 2005. Applications will not be taken after this date. All protfolios and competition materials are due October 15, 2005. Points will be deducted for those that arrive after this deadline.

The Ms. American Volunteer Pageant will reject any incomplete applications and without notice to the entrant.

Please use caution when sending original documents with your entry as we, the Ms. American Volunteer Pageant, are not liable for items loss or damaged during the shipping process, whether shipped to or from the pageant office. To avoid loss of original documents, you may send black and white and/or color copies of your materials.

The Ms. American Volunteer Pageant reserves the right to disqualify a contestant for a number of reasons including, but not limited to, poor sportsmanship, illegal conduct, poor representation of the Ms. American Volunteer system, etc.

Winners will be announced on the website on November 15th, 2005.

The Ms. American Volunteer Pageant reserves the right to use the applicant's information submitted for the competition, photos and/or likeness for promotional purposes.

A pageant participant holds harmless the Ms. American Volunteer pageant, and/or it's director(s) from any and all claims for damage to any person or property by reason of participation in this pageant, or events derived from participation in this pageant.

If a contestant's volunteer service portfolio materials are damaged or lost while in the possession of the Ms. American Volunteer Pageant, the pageant will pay up to 33% of the combined entry and application fee as compensation for the contestant's loss.

Unless the pageant is canceled, refunds will not be given.

Titles are given on a first come, first awarded bases. Contestants are selected to represent their state or region in the Ms. American Volunteer pageant based on information provided on the American Volunteer entry form. The AMerican Volunteer Pageant reserves the right to reject applications.
