Ms. American Volunteer Pageant Team and the judges, are not paid for their time or services but evryone volunteers their
time for the pageant and the good of the pageant's charity.

National Director: Catherine Jackson
National Director, Catherine Jackson has a B.A. in Developmental Psychology and a Master's degree in Human Services Counseling.
She works in fund raising on the Special Events team at Northwestern Memorial. Catherine is an avid volunteer and volunteers
for the Walter and Connie Payton Foundations Holiday Giving and Special Events, raises funds for the 11-10-02 Foundation,
is an active volunteer for several local and national breast cancer organizations, as well as for the Lupus Foundation of
Illinois and creates her own volunteer projects throughout the year to benefit non-profit organizations, to name a few of
the volunteer activities she is involved with. Catherine developed and launched the Ms. American Volunteer pageant as
a fund raiser for various charities and the proceeds from the pageant will benefit a different charity each year.

Director of Planning: Vergia Williams
Vergia Williams is a student at Loyola University where she is a biology/pre-dentistry
major. She is happily married and is a proud mother of a 2 year old son. She joined the Ms. American Volunteer pageant team because
she believes in doing what she can to support causes that help others in need and want to help with the paegants mission to
raise $1,000 for the 2004 AV Charity. Her suggestions and comments provide valuable insight to the pageant and she helps in
planning and coordinating every detail of decisions that affect the contestants and the national titleholders.

Director of Legal Services: Shenetta Webster, Attorney
Shenetta Websters dedication to public interest law dates back to her formal
education. Taking classes in Poverty Law and Consumer Law sparked her interest and gave her the knowledge and skills to take
on positions serving persons in need of advocacy. Ms. Webster has worked in various capacities, she taught law related
courses in the Undergraduate Division of Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, worked in public interest law in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin and most recently provided one-to-one technical and self-advocacy assistance to clients at a law firm in Illinois.
She also conducted training seminars and represented clients at administrative hearings, mediations, and other forumsand has
experience in investigation, litigation, and issues of elder abuse, guardianship, protective placement, advance directives,
landlord/tenant, and consumer law. As an attorney with Legal Action of Wisconsin, she litigated cases resulting in reimbursement
of more than $180,000 to victims of financial elder abuse.
Ms. Webster earned her J.D. and Bachelor of Business Administration
degrees from the University of Wisconsin. She is self-employed as a Legal Consultant and work on a contract basis. Shenetta
joined the AV staff becausein her past, she enjoyed participating in pageants and in volunteer
activities and believes "the AV's concept of combining volunteerism with pageantry is both creative and admirable."
Director of Development: Joy Finerson
As the reigning Ms. NY American Renaissance, Joy Finerson has committed herself and her year of service to her platform
of HIV/AIDS Education. The founder of Queens of New York, she dedicates her time and effort to raising much needed funds
for AIDS Walk New York, the world’s largest AIDS fundraiser. Joy is a Community HIV/AIDS Educator and an advocate
for reforming and bettering governmental AIDS policy. She also donates her time to various other causes: Avon
Walk for Breast Cancer, Toys for Tots, New York Cares, and the Brooklyn Visitor’s Bureau. Ms. Finerson is a Life
Science/Living Environment teacher at the Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School for the Arts in Brooklyn, NY. She holds
a B.S. in Biology from Hampton University, and is seeking an M.A. in Secondary Science Education from New York University.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, ballroom dancing, making jewelry, and collecting shoes.
